Code of Conduct

Trade Business (Tradespeople, Technicians, Handymen or Artisans) Code of Conduct

Our mission is to connect quality, vetted and trained local Trade Businesses (tradespeople, technicians, handymen or artisans) with potential customers.

We achieve this by providing a service where:

1. Homeowners and Companies review and choose the tradesperson, technicians, handymen or artisans that’s right for them from the Handy-Jacks Portal.

2. Homeowners and Companies call us directly or make a request online for us to send them tradesperson, technician, handyman or artisan that we can vouch for.

A key part of this process is our ratings system, where Home-Owners and Companies may review the ratings and feedback of previous Handy-Jacks customers. In addition to these ratings, a potential customer also considers how well an artisan presents themselves as well as their quote for the work.

We know that Home-Owners and Companies expect high quality work, honesty, professionalism, integrity & reliability, and to be charged a fair market rate for the work. They also only want to engage with tradespeople, technicians, handymen or artisans that act responsibly, behave politely and are generally nice to work with.

Therefore, upon joining our service we ask all of listed tradespeople, technicians, handymen and artisans to follow these basic principles:

  • Be polite and courteous when dealing with Home-Owners, Companies and potential customers
  • Communicate clearly, honestly and completely about what will be done and when
  • Set clear timing for payments
  • Perform work to a high standard and adhere to the relevant industry standards
  • Deliver on what was agreed to be delivered
  • Create a satisfied customer
  • Do not steal
  • Do not cause any nuisance
  • Do not engage in fights or arguments
  • Do not turn up for work late
  • Do not drink alcohol on Clients’ premises
  • Do not bring unauthorised people into a customers premises
  • Tradespeople, technicians, handymen or artisans ratings and performances will be constantly monitored to ensure that only the highest calibre of artisans continue to enlist in our service. We reserve the right to remove artisans from our service who do not adhere to the standards and principles above.
